Joshuan Rivera Jiménez grew up in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He has a bachelor’s degree in public communications from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s in entertainment business from Full Sail University. He has worked for more than a decade as a writer and journalist, publishing and editing work for USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Elite Daily, and The Detroit Free Press, among others. He completed the Yale Writers Workshop, was a finalist for the Unleash Press 2023 Book Prize, and was the executive editor for Gannett’s first national Pride magazine.
